Mac & Cheese

 

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Serves 8

Ingredients:

4 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
2 cups milk
1 cup shredded Gouda cheese
1/2 cup shredded Emmental Cheese
1/2 cup shredded white Old Cheddar cheese
16 oz pkg elbow macaroni
1/2 cup bread crumbs

 

The Red Tea Detox

Directions:

In a medium saucepan, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat.
Stir in flour and stir until thick. Gradually stir in milk.
Stir for a few minutes until mixture thickens and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Gradually stir in the cheeses until cheese melts.
Cook macaroni according to package directions, drain and return to pot.
Preheat broiler. Coat a large baking dish with non-stick spray (or oil or butter).
Pour cheese mixture over macaroni in the pot and stir.
Spoon macaroni into baking dish.
In a separate bowl, mix 2 tbsp butter and breadcrumbs until coated and sprinkle over macaroni.
Place baking dish under broiler for 5 minutes or until  topping is golden brown.  
Remove, let cool a few minutes and serve.
